Remote marine debris clean-up LIVE now.
The South West Marine Debris Clean-up is an annual event run by Matt
Dell and a wonderful bunch of volunteers. For more than a decade now
they have been the guardians of Tasmania's remote south west beaches as
rubbish washes up beyond the gaze of civilisation. The Bookend Trust has
supported the clean-up over many years now, including by producing the
awards winning Plastic Shoreline documentary and blogging the journey
since 2011. As our southern season turns colder and the days draw short,
the crew are back out there right now. Each evening a report and photo
is being sent through via satellite phone so that we can experience a
little bit of the challenge. Read it now>>
