The One Earth – One Ocean diving group combines professional diving with active environmental, water and species protection. Our divers are involved in recovering ghost nets, removing garbage and carrying out scientific tasks for environmental authorities and official bodies.

Our task

Protection where it is most urgently needed

Waters are sensitive habitats – and increasingly threatened by waste, contaminated sites and lost fishing gear. Ghost nets in particular pose an invisible, permanent threat to animals and ecosystems. They continue to catch fish – often for decades – and kill fish, marine mammals and destroy habitats.

Our diving group works specifically on:

• the recovery of ghost nets
• the removal of underwater waste
• the protection of lakes, rivers and seas
• the professional documentation of underwater finds

The divers:

• locate and document ghost nets
• recover nets safely and in an environmentally friendly way
• work according to defined operational and safety standards
• coordinate measures with project partners and authorities
• are continuously trained.

In addition to practical rescue operations, the diving team also carries out scientific and official tasks, including:

• Underwater documentation and photography
• Monitoring of water bodies and habitats
