From September 23 to October 2, 2024, One Earth – One Ocean e. V. (OEOO) is hosting a very special event as part of Wetter.Wasser.Waterkant. 2024: “The SeeKuh cleans up”. This excursion and ship tour will provide exciting insights into the innovative work of OEOO’s first large waste collection ship.
Topics and activities
- The SeeKuh: Find out all about the catamaran, which has been in use since its completion in 2018 to clean up the seas and recover ghost nets.
- Lively lecture: In addition to the boat tour, we offer short lectures and an exhibition on the dangers of marine pollution and environmental protection measures.
- Interactive Q&A session: Ask your questions and find out how environmental projects are developed from the idea to implementation.
Education and sustainability
This project is aimed at pupils in grades 5 to 13 and supports the geography curriculum at upper and lower secondary level. The proven ESD approach “Recognize, evaluate and act” teaches environmental education in a practical and sustainable way.
