Fragments and films\nwere the most abundant microplastic types; no plastic microbeads and few\npellets were observed. Household plastics dominated the shoreline debris\nand were comprised largely of plastic bottles, fishing gear, and bags.\nMicroplastic density decreased with distance from the southwestern\nshore, the most populated and accessible section of the park, and was\ndistributed by the prevailing winds.
