This summer we\ninvited the community to participate in the creation of the sculpture by\nmaking sea ?owers and crustaceans from recycled plastic bags and\nbottles. Five pathways made from debris converge to replicate the water\ncurrent patterns of a vortex, where trash accumulates, within an ocean gyre.\nCurrent Collections will debut and be the focal point of the 2014 &amp; 2015\nSt. Petersburg, Florida Science Festival, attended by 25,000+ people and\nthe 2014 Blue Ocean Film Festival. The sculpture will also exhibit in\ndowntown Atlanta, Georgia, Earth Day 2015.
