The Marine Litter Network is an online information portal that provides
\na knowledge hub and networking opportunities to promote global
\ndiscussions on marine litter. Through the network, members will be able to:<\/p>\n
FIND: Through mobilization of resources, opportunities and connections,
\nthe Marine Litter Network enables members to find
\nresources\/projects\/information, contact and connect with a diversity of
\nstakeholders and partners who are already advancing objectives of GPML
\nfocal areas.<\/p>\n
SHARE: Members can share experiences about and resources and updates on
\nmarine litter. Resources available for users to share or download
\ninclude capacity building, outreach and media materials, projects,
\npublications, meeting documents, and strategies, action plans and policies.<\/p>\n
INTERACT: The Marine Litter Network brings together a variety of
\nstakeholders to form common interest groups that use and share
\ncollective knowledge, expertise and best practices to promote solutions
\nto the global marine litter problem.<\/p>\n
TAKE ACTION: The Marine Litter Network enables participants to make
\ncommitments and take action to address the global marine litter problem,
\nsuch as through signing the Honolulu Commitment and using the Honolulu
\nStrategy as a framework document to advance their own marine litter
\nprojects.<\/p>\n
TRACK PROGRESS: On a yearly basis the GPML Secretariat may use
\ninformation submitted through the Marine Litter Network to track
\nprogress on the implementation of the Honolulu Strategy. Progress is
\ntracked through identification of projects and commitments made by GPML
\nstakeholders and participants, strategy areas in need of greater
\nstakeholder involvement, and feedback between group members regarding HS
\ngoals and priority areas.<\/p>\n
