Dear Fabiano Barretto,

A side event at the 12th meeting of Conference of the Parties to the
Convention on Biological Diversity shall be held on October 10, 2014 in
South Korea.

This side event is meaningful in the sense that it will provide
information on marine debris impacts on marine biodiversity.
Convention on Biological Diversity shall issue a Resolution on this
matter at this COP 12, and an expert workshop shall  be held in December
2014 to further discuss this matter.

As this side event shows the current interest of international
organizations on the issue of marine debris, perhaps this information
might be of interest to your email subscribers.
